Fine gourd shops art "Quirky"

shops This fine gourd art vase, entitled "Quirky," was created using pyrography (a wood burning technique) and by carving with a rotary tool. Before I began my creation, I cleaned this gourd inside and out. After detailed carving, sections of the gourd were then painted with orange and yellow acrylic paint. I stained other areas with orange and yellow ink dye. The bottom of the gourd is stained in brown ink dye while the inside was painted with black acrylic paint. Part of the gourd has been left in its natural state to enhance the final creation.

This gourd art has been finished with a protective matte spray. For decorative purposes - keep out of direct sunlight and weather.
