Ecoprint 602 ; matted shops to 9"x12"

shops Ecoprinting is the process of taking paper that has been soaked in a mordant ( I use alum ) overnight and then layered with plants, flowers, fruits, etc. and bundled in stacks or wrapped around rusty cans and boiled for an hour or two. It results in the dyes and tannins being absorbed into the paper permanently in unique and unpredictable ways.
I have been taking my ecoprints and embellishing them with illustration pens and colored pencils to create abstract designs and balanced compositions based on natural forms.
Every piece is a one of kind original!
This particular piece is actually a collage of 4 separate pieces of paper that has had additional watercolors added.
