A splendid old item of head wear in the form of a bowler hat.
This hat is French and has a silk lining with the a name inside which is quite faded but looks like FOLB.
There is a little label on the inner rim with 3 1/2 and 54 stamped on it. There is the initial M tagged onto the inside of the hat, presumably the previous owner.
The overall condition of the hat is good for it's age there is just some slight shops damage to the rim on the side where the silk has loosened and at the front there is a tiny hole and a little nibble to the rim, I have pointed these out in the photos.
The hat is of a small size, we have measured the inner circumference to be 53 cm, although the label on the hat says 54 so please check very carefully if you intend wearing the hat.
A fabulous old hat, and a real blast from the past, a hat full of charm and character that could without doubt have many a story to tell.
