Rare shops Vintage Shube's Inc. Sterling Silver & Multi Gemstone Charm Pendant Necklace Southwestern Style

Rare Vintage Shube's* Inc. Sterling Silver & Multi Gemstone Charm Pendant Necklace Southwestern Style: This is a wonderfully colorful beads and charms southwestern necklace - such fun to wear with all the cheerfulness it exudes. From end to end it measures about 21 3/4" long and weighs weighs 47.9 grams. The necklace is marked on the clasp and the backs of the charm/pendants with Shube's mark - an "S" superimposed over a "B"  (“b”) making it look like a $ sign. This awesome necklace has both a magnet and a lobster clasp. It is in great condition and quite rare, as I've never seen this Shube's piece before or since I bought it.

Shube's, Inc. was founded in 1972 in Albuquerque, NM and manufactured sterling jewelry, much in a southwestern style. They shops are a wholesale concern that's been in business in Albuquerque for almost 40 years. In 2006, SMI was acquired by a Ohio conglomerate, but still maintained operations in Albuquerque as the slightly altered Shube's Inc until late 2008, when they merged with South Dakota Gold Company. Today, the consolidation markets their jewelry as Dakota West Design, Inc. maintaining facilities in Albuquerque, NM under the auspices of the Ohio company.
