This book has a fascinating history featuring an ex libris plate belonging to the Late Brother Isaac Hawker Bedford, former P.M. of the Howe Masonic Lodge, Birmingham, who passed away in 1868. Ex library stock from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Warwickshire. Includes A New Version of the Psalms of David Fitted to the Tunes Used in Churches, published 1818

Bound in black leather with gilt title to spine and full gilt page edges. Original ribbon marker present, but ripped and worn. Dark blue end shops papers with gilt dentelle trim to paste downs. Parchment pages are bright with some foxing throughout. Shelving wear to corners and edges of binding, with rubbing and turned corners. A few scratches to leather binding, wear and light chipping around edges of boards and spine, cracking to leather hinges. Binding is in good antique condition for a book of this age, some wear to internal joints with boards but these are still holding.
