Puka shells are semi-round and round shapes strung in graduated sizes. Puka shells are approx. 8 mm to 10 mm in diameter, strung with graduated sizing.

SOME INFO ABOUT REAL PUKA SHELLS:

These are actual “beach worn” puka shells with the natural flaws and variations. Natural puka shells are the worn down remnants of cone seashells. After many years in the ocean, when all the thinner parts of the shell have worn away, a little rounded piece is left, concave on one side, and convex on the other, with or without a natural hole in the center. All puka shells have texture of naturally weathered shells.

Puka shells are naturally ocean tumbled to their soft rounded edges. They have natural flaws, variations in colors, patterns, surface and texture of naturally weathered shells. They also show the distinctive inner spirals on the concave side, which indicates that they come from the tip of a spiraling shell.
