Pair of vintage French heavy silvered bronze peacocks, a male and a female, which would make a fabulous centerpiece on a Thanksgiving or Christmas dining table. This fine pair of bronze peacocks are a classic French table centerpiece decoration and date to the first half of the last century.
They have slots in their long tail feathers so this means a menu can be slotted into each, so they would also be great for a restaurant foyer. They are intricately carved to show their plumage. No maker's marks.
MEASUREMENTS
5 1/2" (14 cm) in maximum height (the male bird is half a inch taller than the female)
11 1/2" (29.5 cm) in length
Weight of both together 1.135 kilograms / 2lb8oz / 40oz
CONDITION
They are in a very good vintage condition.
