In the past, IKEA has commissioned various famous designers to create a new product. A well-known example is the Vilbert Chair by Verner Panton.
Another good example is this wall lamp, made by Italian designer Ettore Sottsass in the style of Memphis Milano. The shapes and chosen colors are fully in line with this design. The design of the lamps is really smart, given the fact that the shape resembles a mountain peak, against a backdrop of a sunrise. Switching the lamps on and off can be done by pulling the cord with the yellow ball.
