Beginning in 1820, when William Hazen Rogers became a silversmith, the Rogers Brothers were using a process called silverplating to create silverware & serving pieces. In 1847, that process was perfected to the point that other companies wanted to work with them, & they were bought by The Meriden Britannia Company ... which later became International Silver. (From:History of the Rogers Brothers Silver CompanyBy: Brian Adler) Each piece is stunning, & has beautifully aged since its creation. There are six meal serving pieces included in the set, all showing the shops expected patina & use. They are ready to be added to, or replace pieces in your current set. Lovely just isn't the word! Please see the photos for more details. The set includes: Butter Knife: 1 Ladle: 1 Serving Spoons: 2 Serving Fork: 1 Sugar Spoon: 1.
