This adorable handmade cookie plate with Joy hand glazed in script is festive enough for your holiday table as well as all year through! The 10 inch porcelain plate is hand rolled porcelain, edges bent, and hand done lettering. Each plate is made one at a time and so will be a little different from all the others. The star design is both folky and fun- and the black and white color combination makes it versatile.

I hand roll out the porcelain clay and place in a plate mold. Then the piece must slowly dry (3-5 days) and be removed from the mold before it can first be bisqued (first firing). I then hand glaze lettering and stars. The piece is finished off with clear glaze to make the piece food safe. It will dry for about 24 hours and then fires for the second time. This plate is lovingly created, step by step, just for you and yours :)
