The base jar on this piece has shops 8 facets surrounding the circumference of outer edge and is in good condition, the metal lid is fit to be original to the piece, diameter is about 3", height about 1.5" The eagle with a clutch of arrows within it's claws is a symbol of power, looks like early American, very old and rare.
