Vintage Original Watercolour Painting by Illustrator Gerry Ely, 1950 Estate sale find - Wonderful, sweet painting with a young girl saying her prayers while her cat watches. Having researched the artist, she was possibly an illustrator for the Disney Company. There are 2 other paintings on-line by this artists with hand written markings on the back, this one has none but signature and dated, Gerry Ely ‘50 on lower right corner. The frame is a fantastic carved tree truck texture. Measures approx 14” x shops 17” Condition-painting is good, the frame is carved wood with bug wholes. Whether or not the bugs are still alive is questionable. There are cracks in the wood.
