Handcrafted Wooden shops Horse/Spice Box on Wheels

This fascinating handcrafted wooden horse on wheels was likely made in India in the early 20th century. It features a stylized mane, saddle and bridle, golden studs sweeping down the back and four functioning wheels decorated with lovely hammered golden rosettas.

The upper portion of the body swivels, shops revealing two generous storage compartments that may well have held spices.
