I was fortunate to have enjoyed Jean's oil painting in its original frame painted with acrylic oil on canvas for many years.. as it hung in our family living room. It measures 22in in height and 26 in width. Its in great condition. shops Jean V. Hogan '31, Wickford, R.I.; Jan. 15. She was an art teacher in the South Kingstown, R.I., school system for many years before retiring, and also had taught at the Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, Conn. She studied art at the Rhode Island School of Design and the A.E. James School of Fine Art, and exhibited her paintings throughout New England. She had one-woman shows at New York City's Morton Galleries and at the Harbor Art Galleries in Wickford. Some of her artwork can be found in the market for thousands. I hope to pass this fine piece along to another family who will enjoy it as much as ours have.
