Vintage Urn Table shops Lamp Porcelain with Gilding

This is a beautiful urn style vintage table lamp made of porcelain. It has beautiful painted flower patterns on the front of the lamp and is gilded in several locations, including the rim of the lamp, urn handles, and three stripes running around the bottom near the base of the lamp.

The lamp works just as it should. It has been rewired with more modern wiring and plug. The electric cord is about 6 feet long.

There are no chips, cracks or etc. in the lamp. There are some teeny tiny (pin prick size) places here and there in the porcelain due to the manufacturing process at the time the lamp was made. They certainly do not detract from the lamp and the lamp must be examined very closely to see them -- I take them as a sign of authenticity of the vintage nature of the manufacturing process. There is some gilding that has faded along the top rim of the lamp -- also only noticeable upon very close inspection, and provides another sign of authenticity. Overall, the lamp is in excellent condition!

It stands 24" tall at the top of the finial. The decorative finial is quite nice and in excellent condition. The bottom of the lamp has shops felt so that it will not scratch wood furniture. The lamp has a maximum diameter of about 6" near the top of the porcelain. The base measures about 4 1/2" square and provides a sturdy base for the lamp.

The flowers on the lamp include orange, red, yellow and green colors. That plus the gold gilding provides lots of possible shade options. I am not including a shade with this lamp so that the buyer can select a shade that matches the buyer's decor. Plus, not including a shade greatly decreases the shipping cost due to the much larger packaging volume required -- shipping costs have little to do with weight, but with package size, and to ensure a shade arrived intact usually requires a separate package. I'm trying to maximize your value, and have still placed this lovely and much-desired urn style lamp at an amazingly low price. :)
