Upside Down Thermos Lamp / Upcycled Vintage Lighting / shops MCM Mid Century Modern / 1960s 1970s Decor / Mood Lighting / Reused Recycled
This is a classic Aladdin brand plastic soup thermos from the '60s/'70s that has been flipped upside down and illuminated from within to create a warm, atmospheric table lamp. The clever construction enables you to simply unscrew the body of the thermos to change the lightbulb.
I love the atomic-era look of this thermos, with its orangey-red and cream-colored hues, its slightly tapered shape, and its glowing mid-century graphics. It pairs perfectly with a flared wooden base made from an upcycled '70s salad bowl. Makes a great mood lamp and conversation piece!
All Lampified lamps are built to last and constructed with the utmost attention to detail and aesthetics. This lamp includes a black phenolic candelabra lamp socket, a black on-cord rotary switch, and a 1 lb lamp weight for added heft. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions!
