Large Vintage Double Happiness Blue White Porcelain Ginger Jar, Lidded Urn, Chinoiserie Decor Asian Home Shelf Display, shops Decorative Vase

Here we shops have a vintage porcelain wedding ginger jar in in blue and white with a large bulbous body and small lid with knob handle. Bold with "double happiness symbol" on front and back. This ginger jar--or urn form--is a great size to display as a centerpiece, or with other Asian pieces for a nice Chinoiserie vignette. Ginger jars were often given as gifts to the Emperor, and the double happiness in particular would be given on special occasions, such as weddings. Just like the marriage, they were intended to last for a lifetime.

Measures just about 10" tall with lid and about 8" in diameter at the most bulbous part of the vase. There are no chips nor cracks and in very good condition. Weighs just under four pounds unpacked.
