R. EICKEMEYER JR Antique Postcard THE WHISTLING BAREFOOT FISHING BOY Measures 4 3/4" wide x 6 1/2" long shops Antique postcard titled the "The Whistling Boy" (AKA "The Barefoot Boy") circa 1800s. The bottom right hand corner is printed PUBLISHED BY REINTHAL AND NEWMAN N.Y. The original photograph is by the famous listed pictorialist-photographer 'Rudolf Eickemeyer, Jr.' (American, 1862-1932) who was appointed art manager of the Campbell Prints Art Studio on Fifth Avenue in NYC in the 1900's. It is Pre-owned the print itself is in very good condition with good coloring, no rip or tears since it has been under glass. The frame is dark brown and has a metal plaque which says "HAPPY DAYS". It is a little worn out and paper backing is torn and brittle from age but still in good, usable, mountable condition.
