Shops 1972 Munich Olympics Commemorative Plate

Coming up on the 50th anniversary in 2022 of the most tragic chapter in the history of the Olympics, this plate commemorates track and field events of the Munich games. Anyone know why just eight on this plate?

It's a very pretty piece with iconic athletic illustrations. Deep blue background, light blue center with gold athletes, type and rings. White back marked Hutschenreuther Tirschenreuth Germany.

Measures 10 inches diameter. No scratches, nicks, chips or cracks. Nada. Very light scuffing on the underside rim.

The hanger on the shops back is secure.
