For sale: Vintage 60's naval commander's former USSR military watch. Running winding and setting perfectly on new black leather strap. Unique dial with naval and military markings. Solid, heavy well made ready to wear watch. 17J manual wind. Screwdown crown at 2pm. Bit of history: In the early 60's the Soviet ministry of defense contracted two engineers with the task of designing military watches that would outperform anything on the market, using entirely new methods all house made. The back case is a plate with wide rubber disc, held in with locking ring instead of a thin gasket, to withstand pressure. The Plexi crystal is designed more shops resistant to water under pressure. The crown is on a "wobbly" gear on all Amphibia's to protect the stem and movement from shock damage, and keep threads tight, like a mason jar. Made same to this day. Torture tests all over the net.
