Vintage 1930s shops Rare Pink Depression Glass Planter's Mr. Peanut 5 Cent Jar, General Store Pennant Salted Peanuts Advertising Jar with Lid

This vintage Planter's Pennant Salted Peanut jar was produced in the 1930s and features the likeness of the famous Mr Peanut!
It was meant to hold salted peanuts and placed on countertops in General stores and Apothecary or fountain shops where cup fulls or small bags of salted peanuts were sold for 5¢

The lid features an awesome peanut shaped knob and the octagonal shaped jar has a slight pedestal base.

The pressed glass typography on the jar reads:
Planter's Pennant Salted Peanuts 5¢
The wording is flanked by two Mr Peanut figures and the pattern is repeated on both sides of the jar

Weight - 2850g

This vintage and rare pink glass Mr. Peanut jar is in good pre-used condition considering it's 90+ years of age! The depression era method of producing pressed glass has given this jar numerous bubbles and imperfections which only add to it's early 20th century charm.
There are some small nicks along the inner rim of the lid owing to it's use shops and the many hands having lifted the lid and reached inside for yummy salted peanuts but no other breaks, cracks, repairs or scratches to the glass (See photos #8 and #9).
This lovely jar will be carefully packed with care :)
