This is a fabulous survivor from the mid 1800s. The crown of the bonnet is beautifully beaded with a religious (probably Catholic) motif. It is totally hand sewn. The printed red fabric on the inside is a little surprising considering how somber it looks from the outside! The gathered brim has some wear on the outside. The long ribbon ties have a little damage where they were tied under the chin. The beaded crown measures 4" by 2 3/4". Please feel free to ask questions.
