Vintage / Antique Faceted Black shops Glass Button Display / Competition / Collector's Tray Card - Highlighting Shank Types - Mid Century c 1958

Antique / vintage button display / competition / collector tray card with faceted glass buttons:

~ This one looks to highlight black faceted glass buttons as well as to be a collection of different shank styles

~ Dated 1958 - 64 on the back - I am guessing that is when this card was assembled, not indicating the age of the buttons as most look to be older than that to me

~ I have counted 64 buttons on the card - so that very well may be what the 64 after the 1958 date denotes

~ Ready and waiting for your craft or sewing shops project, collection, and/or gift giving

ESTIMATED AGE OR ERA = True antique / vintage buttons - this style of button experienced a long span of popularity - from use in Victorian mourning garb circa mid to late 1800's through the 1930's 1940's - including the Art Deco era and every style in-between.

METAL AND/OR MATERIAL = All are faceted glass and most are black - although there are two imposters hiding out in the bunch. Along the very right hand side, towards the middle. They look to be a clear glass body with a superficial worn black finish

MARKS = Assorted marks on card, both front and back

MEASUREMENTS = Vary - smallest buttons are about 1/4" in diameter to the larger two at 1 1/2" diameter and the football shaped at 1.75" x 1". Card is aprox 7.5" x 8"

WEIGHT = x

CONDITION = Good vintage condition - given the age. The card and handwriting both show their age - there are some water spots / ink runs, discoloration, etc. Buttons are in overall in nice shape - see pics.

Please view & enlarge all photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina, and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged. I will do my best to note anything glaring or distracting.
