***Please note that natural crystals display different color properties depending on lighting. I try to take all my photos in a combination of sunlight and shade to reflect different color play. Colors also may vary or show up differently on other monitors and screens.
Blue calcite is often referred to as the "stone of the mind", aiding in memory retention, dream recall and opening the mind to receiving new information. This crystal works closely with the throat chakra, helping one to better speak their own personal truth.
I personally find all forms of calcite beneficial for physical and emotional pain, as their gentle energies help smooth over irritations and discomfort of all kinds.
Selenite is a stone of the crown chakra, offering as a bridge shops to divine knowledge. These crystals remove any stubborn energy blockages and help with overall healing.
~*Caring for your selenite piece*~
✨Selenite is water soluble and not meant to be used in elixirs, baths, or left outside (with that being said, it won't start immediately deteriorating if a few drops of water get on it).
✨Use your own discretion having these around children, selenite is flaky.
✨While selenite is indeed flaky, I make it a point to use sturdy pieces for both my wands and jewelry. If it can handle me working super thick 16 and 18 gauge wire around it snug and tight, it can handle being worn and used in magick.
✨Selenite is not meant for everyday wear, it is more for ceremonial magicks, rituals, and reiki sessions. Though I do have many customers who've worn theirs extensively for years with no breakage, I still recommend it more for special occasions.
✨As with anything, if treated with love, respect, and care, it will stand the test of time. Selenite is rarely seen in jewelry because it's known for being fragile, but I think that's even all the more reason to create with it, wear it, and use it.
Selenite teaches me to be patient, steady, cautious, thorough and deliberate with my thoughts and actions. It teaches me to be still, and fully engulfed in the present moment. And I only hope it can do that for everyone it comes in contact with.
