Scarce true first of this instant classic science fiction novel, the basis for the film of the same name. Jacket is now protected in new mylar sleeve but previously experienced moderate to heavy wear around the edges and some creases and scuffing to faces and along spine. Some soiling to boards from handling with corners and spine ends bumped. Hinges are secure and spine is straight though binding is beginning to loosen a bit.
