Vintage, large, statement brooch is gold plated with blue and red enameled starburst highlights. The circa 1950's brooch has a carved moose antler skull added. The large brooch has a 2 inch roll over safety clasp pin on back, but there is also the option of using this as a pendant for a necklace using the small, .5 inch hook. This is a heavy piece and very substantial. The detail in the skull and cast metal setting is great.

The skull is carved out of North American moose antler. All members of the deer family shed their antlers once a year, making antler a sustainable commodity. The skull is hand carved which much attention to detail, including sutures and teeth. The skulls we use are contemporary and have been added to vintage pieces.

The metal brooch is circa 1950 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. Necromance uses this type of vintage brooch often in our jewelry since it was well made, usually plated multiple times and had unique design. The gold plating and enamel is still in excellent condition.

This piece of jewelry is sent in a bubble pack envelope via US postal service, first class mail shops with insurance, free in the US and packed in an animal print gift box.
