Necktie shops Christmas Tree Wall Hanging

I made use of a really cute charm pack of Moda Christmas fabrics to make, what my husband calls, this "necktie" quilt, or, as he titles it, "Star With Neckties". Based on the pattern "Dresden Tree" from Missouri Star Quilt Company. The background fabric, which fades from deep blue to white is machine quilted with stars and loops, and the foreground is quilted to look like a snowy field. The halo around the star is quilted to look like radiating light, and the border strips are also quilted with their own loops. The quilting was done by Holly Williams-Sosa of Elaine's Quilt Block in Salt Lake City. shops
