This is a Susan Davis Whimsical seagull, part of a collection that became extremely popular in the 70s and into the 80s. They are all hand made standing about 6” tall. Each one is handmade one of a kind. The mini one standing beside it is also included. Some people are selling these in the upper 200$ range. Susan Davis is a very well known if not famous artists from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. These seagulls were intended to be extra fat on purpose due to the fact that Cape Cod has the largest seagull population in the state of Massachusetts. Probably because the locals and tourists feed them a lot of fried fish and French fries;-) and on some occasions they are brazen enough to swoop down and actually take your food from you here! So beware! That's why this is my favorite shops kind of seagull!.
