These intertwined love birds are rendered in repousse-style sterling silver, centred in a stylish lucite compact in dark brownish-red, echoing the colour of tortoiseshell.
There are no markings barring the "sterling" stamp on the bottom of the lovebirds medallion.
The screen and powder puff are intact, with a little bit of powder still lingering. The beveled mirror has slight fogging and a few spots where the silvering is just barely beginning to lift. The lucite has the expected surfaces scratches from wear but nothing deep, just normal wear.
The ball clasp holds solidly and clicks in nicely.
Measurements: This compact measures 2 7/8 inches square, with the silver medallion coming in at 2 3/8 of an inch in circumference. The compact stands 6/8 of an inch high.
