Unknown if origin is fro Japan or China based off of internet shops searches they're very similar in style so it could be from either county. This was my mothers she brought over from Thailand when she moved her 50 years ago. Very old, very cool and rare. Red felt lined smaller boxes inside. Also included a black, fabric fan with one broken arm.
