These are oil based. They're made in Japan. I love all Japanese brands. They make the best. They're incredibly smooth with vibrant colors. I highly recommend these if you love to color. They're similar to Holbien and Polychromos without the price. $.50 each compared to $3-5 is definitely worth it. I was able to match some of the colors with Holbien. •3.7mm core with 2mm barrel free shops of impurities and easy to color •Solid wood shaft •not easy to break or fade High color concentration, •Each pencil has label & number for easy color recognition Check out my other listings.
