Crafted shops Pine Bonsai

THIS IS A CRAFTED REPLICA, NOT A LIVE TREE
White and black pine are frequent choices for Bonsai because they adapt well to training. The white pine shops needles are shorter and blunter than the black pine, which is shaggier in appearance.

On the rock above is a black pine approximately 2" tall. In the vase is a white pine 1 1/2" tall. The black pine frame is gnarly-looking twisted wire; the wire on the white frame has been carefully plastered and hand painted. The black pine is $55, the white pine is $65.

The photo of the white pine lost its color, but it is the same green as the black pine.

These can be adapted for 1/144" scale by planting them on a base of mulch instead of rock or vase.
