Antique Hunting Flask with Silver Lid. Detachable Drinking Cup.
This antique hunting flask has a glass body and removable metal base, which could be used as a drinking cup. It has a silver screw lid, which is stamped.
The "TJW" stamp identifies the shops lid's Silver Maker as Thomas Jones Watson, Boswell Road, London, 1871-1910. The stamp appears to date the lid to the year 1876.
This flask is full of antique charm and character. There is marking to the glass body and the glass looks worn where it has been held over the years (looks like frosted glass). It feels like small slivers of the glass has worn away with pulling it in and out of the metal base. The silver lid is tarnished and has a couple of dents. Very little of the cork remains. There is age-related marks to the detachable drinking cup. (Please see photos for further details).
Ideal for a warming tipple when outdoors or an ideal gift for a vintage lover who likes a dram.
