Blown in the mould, Art Deco pressed glass bowl, with two pigeons on the sides, in a black and beige shades, so-called lithyalin/marmorite or onyx shops glass. This type of glass was by chance developed by Friedrich Egermann, (1777-1864, Bohemia) it resembles a minerals and gemstone glass, with marbled and striped parts. The word lithyalin is derived from the Greek 'lithos' which means stone. It was manufactured by several glass factories in Europe.
In recent years, this model in the 1970s has been remanufactured in clear press glass by United Glassworks' STS Abel Zagreb using the authentic moulds of the 1930s.
This very beautiful collectible bowl dates back to the 1930s, it's in excelent original condition with minor signs of use.
