She was awarded a full scholarship to study art at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts School of Art in 1937. She also studied at the University of Houston and with two European Masters. She has had her work hanging in galleries and private homes all over the world and has had numerous awards and recognitions. She was the founder and teacher at the Galveston Bay Art School.
