The 2W was from circa 1961 and has brown Arabic numerals against a light dial. At the time it was one of Seth Thomas' most popular tambour clocks. Its small size (8 1/4" high, 16 3/4" wide, 4 3/4" deep) gives you many placement/display options. Wood is mahogany with contrasting lighter band along the base. It has soft cloth “feet” to prevent scratches on your furniture. The appropriate (new) key is shops provided to keep this clock going. Wind clock fully each week by inserting key thru the (2) holes in dial and carefully winding clockwise. The clock mechanism was made in Germany and utilizes 2jewels and a floating balance wheel to keep time. (No pendulum). It is very accurate and uses the three hammers to give a pleasant chime each hour. (Single strike at the half hour.) Further instructions as to how to adjust the time properly are on the inside of door (as pictured here). This clock was cleaned and fine tuned by an Horologist. Perfect gift for Mom. :) 33.
