Hand painted by me, this coolie shade is inspired by the beautifully eclectic interiors of the Bloomsbury group, such as Charleston Farmhouse, home of Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant. This one has been inspired by a design for an embroidered panel by Grant, with the floral motifs being an exuberant yellow trumpet flower and a tightly budded dahlia. The colour palette is warm brown, yellows and warm pink and green.
The shape of the shade is a coolie style suitable for pendant or lamp base fittings. The shade is also adjustable allowing you to tilt the shade to read or work by.
The shade is painted using colourfast fabric paint shops which gives a warm ambience to blend with most interiors when lit.
The shade measures 9cm top diameter
By 30cm lower diameter by 19cm in height.
