NEW 1996 Commemorative 12" Hasbro Raggedy Ann and Andy cloth shops doll & FINE 1961 Johnny Gruelle Ragged Ann in the Magic Book - Stories

For Raggedy Ann and Andy fans, I am offering a pair of Commemorative Edition 12" cloth dolls from 1996. They are NEW in their original boxes. To this is added shops two 1961 Johnny Gruelle's Raggedy Ann story books - RAGGEDY ANN IN THE MAGIC BOOK and RAGGEDY ANN STORIES. The two books are in FINE condition. Both have been proudly owned and well cared for. One by "Helen " who wrote her name on the front cover and added a circus seal sticker inside. One by "Lynn Marie Allen" who wrote her name in the back.

Raggedy Ann and Andy's 12" Hasbro - Simon & Schuster cloth dolls are 25 years old. The Raggedy Ann doll commemorates her 80th Anniversary. Her brother's doll, commemorates his 75th. These "Beautiful reproductions of beloved childhood friends" are identified as #27756.

The 25 year old dolls are new. Each has a full head of the traditional orange yarn hair on a round smiling face completed by large plastic eyes and fabric features - nose, mouth, lips, eyebrows and lashes. Raggedy Ann wears a dark blue flowered dress with contrasting red collar. Her white ruffled apron sports a matching red handkerchief in its pocket. Coordinated gold flowered bloomers peek out from under her dress. Brother Andy has traded his checkered shirt for a matching red flowered one with gold flowered collar and blue ribbon tie. His pants are a blue checkered print with gold fabric buttons. Both wear their traditional red and white fabric stockings and black shoes. Charming and well-made!

Two books are included, both 1961 editions. "RAGGEDY ANDY IN THE MAGIC BOOK" and "RAGGEDY ANN STORIES" are written and beautifully illustrated by Johnny Gruelle. Published by the Bobbs-Merrill Company, the 9" x 6 1/2", 80+ page hardcover books are 60+ years old. Used, they are in FINE CONDITION. Their colors are bright and pages are clean. Their bindings are tight. There is some visible shelf wear around the cover edges. Both have the name of a previous owner.
