This is an original hand-pulled shops linocut - portrait of NIKOLAY ZABOLOTSKY (1903 - 1958), a Russian poet, children's writer, and translator. He was a Modernist and one of the founders of the Russian avant-garde absurdist group Oberiu.
Designed, cut, and printed by me (Natalia Moroz). Signed in pencil, numbered (from a limited edition of 30) and dated 2011. The linoleum block is cut by hand, then inked and printed individually, so every print is slightly different. Printed on beautiful printmaking paper (Rising Stonehenge, acid-free) with oil-based printing ink - all materials are permanent and archival. Generous wide margins provided around the image. Suitable for standard matting and framing.
