Product code: 1800s shops Antique Italian Majolica Pottery
10" across, 4 1/2" tall; pretty big bowl, comparable to the average punch bowl. This is a very special piece of pottery. It is completely handmade. Handpainted and hand gilded in gold. It seems shops to be from the early 1800s but there is no doubt it is at least 100 years old; estimated late 1800s. I've included close up pictures for the people that know what to look for. Notice the intricacy and handwork. The colors, design, etc. This is a prime example of Italian Majolica. That is one of the main countries it originated in.
