This one-of-a-kind canister would make the most beautiful memorial urn to hold ashes on the mantle. Or a deluxe tea coffee or sugar jar for the gourmet kitchen. Or centerpiece vase holding fresh flowers. Or a cookie jar... bath salt jar... stash jar... or potpourri holder. It has a curvy yet geometric shape, a glazed interior, a diagonal glaze on raw primitive clay, and a lid with a knob made of a unique sycamore wood branch knot for that rustic flair.

My proprietary Midnight Merlot glaze is a thick, rich, artistic combination of three glazes (and a few technique tricks) that shows dark wine, burgundy, black, gray, and multiple shades of deep renaissance reds. The bottom edge of the glaze has a tactile dimension, sometimes subtle, sometimes very thick and flowing. Uniquely luxurious, this glaze took me two years to perfect. (This is also quite an expensive glaze and hikes the pricing up.) This piece shows my signature diagonal dip for a juxtaposed meeting of glossy glaze and speckled clay.
