Bust is in fair condition, with no chips or cracks. Some face detailings such as eyebrows, green eyeliner, and lipstick have partially worn off. Dorothy Kindell was a California-based ceramics artist active in the 1940s and 50s. Kindell was known as the "Naughty Potter" for her depictions of nude and semi-nude figures which were extremely provocative for the time.
