Ancient Russian Religious Ornament from the 16th Century
Premium quality hand-painted Russian ornamental icon. Originally it can be found in Saint Petersburg Imperial Public Library as a part of gospel ornaments from the 16th century. This icon has been exhibited in multiple Church exhibitions hence the metal hanging string on the back of the icon shops. Painted using the traditional technique - egg tempera on a pinewood panel.
