Whites of Utica Stoneware Pottery PROSIT Barrel Mug. Absolutely stunning workmanship on this earlier Utica mug. Has wonderful crosshatch pattern bands on the top and bottom, followed by cobalt stripes and a unique heart shaped incised pattern. Front has a cobalt incised "Prosit" in a rich salt glaze center. Handle has a intricate cobalt leaf detail. Some minor stress marks around the handle. Measures 5 3/4" tall and top is 2 7/8" diameter. No cracks or chips. VERY heavy piece.
