Fine shops gourd art "Mickey"

This fine gourd art bowl entitled "Mickey" was created by carving with a rotary tool and using pyrography (a wood burning technique). Before I began my creation, I cleaned this gourd inside and out. Then I carved the designs with a rotary tool. Afterwards, the entire piece was painted with orange acrylic paint and just as the paint finished drying, I hand sanded the gourd creating the rough, mottled effect on the gourd's smooth surface. The inside of the gourd is also painted with orange acrylic paint.

This gourd art has been finished shops with a protective matte spray. For decorative purposes - keep out of direct sunlight and weather.
