This is a very unusual and unique Vintage Ship in a Bottle, Folk Art Whimsy Sculpture. This ship was Handmade using cut to shape Business Cards. It has incredible details with sign of maker and recipient documented. It was made by Classic Ships from Southport N.C. for Douglas Grimm, a Radio and Broadcasting notable. A fantastic addition to a Bottle Whimsy collection and great unusual and unexpected Nautical Decor.
This piece is in excellent vintage condition. The ship was at one time attached, it is no longer, so it does slide, shops though it is quite easy to get it into place. Please zoom the photos to appreciate all terrific fine details, as well as too best understand overall condition.
Bottle measures 11.75" long x 5" wide x 6" tall on wooden base.
