Wanna catch a Pokémon? This Pikachu, like Ash's, will not easily go into a Pokéball, but he'll be happy to ride on your shoulders shops to and from your latest adventures. Pikachu has been hand crochet just for you with a duel thickness of Red Heart worsted weight acrylic yarn. His adorable little face and patterning is worked into the flat surface of the backpack. The end of his tail is a water bottle holder 3 1/2" in diameter and capable of placing a bottle of 32 fl oz in size (not included). The interior of the back pack is lined with a double thickness of 100% cotton linen. Interior space of the back pack is 16" in height, 13 1/2" wide at the base and tapers to 9" at the zipper opening, with a depth of 4 1/2". The zipper closure affixed is made with metal teeth and measures 21" in length. His ears are used as the carrying/shoulder straps and attach by way of two buttons per strap to button hole adjustable straps affixed to the base of the pack. On the longest setting, the total length of the strap is 22". The straps can be shortened to as little as 15" if necessary.
Pikachu was created with over a dozen hours of work from my own pattern. I don't know if I'm ready to recreate him any time soon. Catch him while you can!
