A pair of bookends depicting traditional English fox hunt scenes. The bookends were manufactured by Niepold's Inc. of Gaithersburg, Maryland, which made cast plaster items in the 1970s under the name "Borghese", named for the Borghese gardens in Italy. These bookends are made of cast plaster with a flat, metal base. The curved faces of the bookends are pasted with color offset lithographs of hunt scenes. The borders of the bookends have a gilt gold tone finish and Borghese label is on the bottom. They shops are in very good vintage condition.
