This antique pin is a charming piece of history. It has no markings that we have been able to identify. It has small details etched into the front and features 3 petite pearls. The piece measures 1 and 3/4 inches long and the horseshoe itself is 3/8ths inches wide. Pin is in good condition given its age. No end cap present. We did not test the material in this piece for fear of damage. See below note regarding history.

The previous owner was an avid collector of higher end hat and stick pins, as well as brooches, and kept records of when each pin was acquired. We are lucky enough to have the little notes which help us to date many of the pieces. This horseshoe Pin was an heirloom piece from the owners grandfather. It had been in the family since 1904 when it was purchased from a local jeweler. We do not have notes as to whether it was purchased new but can attribute it to this period if not earlier.
